Agar Art Proposal

Paste an image of your proposed agar art project in a word document. You should have at least 2 possible drawings. You may use the template Download template provided here to sketch them.

In the document, describe how you will achieve the proposed artwork (see the four considerations below). Be sure to keep biology in focus and explain how each of your living paints will contribute to the piece. Remember that your compost microbes should be the main feature, and the exotic color microbes should only supplement the piece.

Exotic Microbe Colors: Green, Violet, Pinkish/orange, and red

Things to discuss in your proposal:

1. Media type (LB or Sabourad)

2. Culturing conditions (30C or room-temp, or something else?)

3. Number, type, and color of organisms

4. Fungal-bacterial interactions that you will exploit
